The Eagles fell in their season opener to North Huron, 34-17. The Warriors led at halftime, 18-13, and then 27-17 after three quarters. A 7-0 advantage for North Huron in the fourth quarter sealed the game. Carley Simmons led Caseville with seven points, and Heidi Ewald added four. Ellie Preston scored 10 for North Huron. Caseville (0-1), hosts Kingston (2-0) on Friday.

Harbor Beach

The Pirates have opened the season 3-0, after defeating Imlay City, 50-26, Tuesday night. Harbor Beach led 14-1 after the first quarter, and 24-6 at halftime. Mae Woodke and Jessica Weber both scored 11 points for the Pirates, and Megan Pawlowski added 10. Harbor Beach was 11-of-20 from the free throw line, and held the Spartans to only eight made field goals.

Harbor Beach (3-0), travels to Bad Axe on Thursday, and on Tuesday, they host Cass City.


After dropping their season opener to Harbor Beach, Lakers bounced back with a dominant performance against Memphis. After the first quarter EPBP led 17-4, and then in the second quarter, shutout the Yellowjackets, 26-0. In the second half, Lakers held an 18-6 advantage, making the final score 61-10. Cheyanne Valentine outscored Memphis by herself, scoring 20 points, including 12 in the second half. Greta Elston added 10, Kyle Bowles scored seven, and the trio of Emma Irion, Sierra Valentine and Madison Krohn scored six points apiece. EPBP is now 1-1 on the season, and hosts Ubly (1-1) on Thursday night.


The Bulldogs open their season on Friday night as they host Mayville. The following Monday, they travel to Landmark Academy.


The Bearcats started the season with one win, and one loss. In the season opener against Reese, Ubly fell, 62-34, due to a 35-16 Rocket advantage in the second and third quarters. Kara Peruski led all scorers, as she scored 147 points. On Monday night, the Bearcats picked up their first win of the season, with an impressive 57-39 victory over Deckerville. Peruski was the leading scorer again, as she poured in 20 points. Janelle White added 12 points and Katelyn Sweeney had 10. Ubly (1-1), travels to EPBP (1-1) on Thursday night, and on Tuesday, hosts USA (1-2).


After an impressive season opening win over Frankenmuth, the Patriots have lost two straight games, to two tough opponents, Sandusky and Harbor Beach. In the game against Sandusky Tuesday night, the Patriots lost 53-26. The game was close after one quarter, but the Redskins pulled away in the second quarter, outscoring USA, 16-3. The win was Sandusky head coach Al DeMott’s 700th for his career. Lauren Adam finished with nine points, and Allie LaLonde added seven for the Patriots. USA, now 1-2 on the season travels to Ubly on Tuesday.
