Lillian Murawski, age 78, of Bad Axe, passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2017.

Lillian was born on May 3, 1939, in Minden City, daughter of the late Frederick and Minnie (Stutzky) Seltz. She married Bernard “Ben” Murawski in 1962 in Detroit. Ben preceded her in death on December 2, 1977.

Lillian worked for the Department of Human Services for the State of Michigan as well as the Secretary of State. Lillian enjoyed cooking, knitting, bird watching, reading and most of all spending time with family and friends at her cottage on the lake, where she would take long walks along the beach. She remained very close to her husband’s family after he passed away and was in contact with them almost daily. She was loved by all who knew her.

Lillian is survived by two sons, Bob (Christina) Murawski of Studio City, California and Marc Murawski of Ann Arbor; three brothers, Kenneth Seltz of Forestville, James (Carol) Seltz of Port Huron and Gerald Seltz of Port Huron; one sister, Doris Lapp of Frankenmuth; in-laws, Jack (Peggy) Murawski, Edward (Sharon) Murawski, Mary (Jim) Bambach, Dick (Linda) Murawski, Leonard (Kathy) Murawski, Bill Murawski (fiancée Janet Hale); numerous nieces and nephews; lifelong friends, Mary Jo Farmer and Marilyn Couture.

Lillian was preceded in death by husband, Bernard Murawski; brother, Howard Seltz; sisters, Bernice Ertman and Phyllis Seltz; brothers inlaw, Leo Murawski, Jr. and Robert Murawski.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Hubert’s Parish-Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bad Axe. Officiated by Fr. Rob Howe. Interment was in St. Edwards Catholic Cemetery in Kinde.

Memorials may be offered to the Sacred Heart Food Pantry.
