Laker Junior High School VEX IQ team headed to state



UBLY - The Laker Junior High 7th & 8th grade Vex IQ Robotics team earned a spot at the state competition in Charlotte as the team placed first in the teamwork challenge at the Friday, Nov. 17 competition hosted by Ubly Community Schools. The team, pictured here with Coach Don Manchester, is made up of (from left) Alex Smith, Charlie Csanyi, Parker Graves and Lindsey Steele. The 6th grade team also competed very well. They just missed qualifying for states, as they came in second in the teamwork challenge. That team includes Luke Potter, Brooklyn Hayes, Payton Graves, McKenzie Blackstock and Gavin Smith. Both VEX IQ teams were scheduled to compete again Friday, Dec. 1 in Cass City.
