Christmastime at the Bad Axe library!

BAD AXE - Christmastime has arrived at the Bad Axe Area District Library. Christmas-themed books, movies, and music for all ages have been pulled off the shelves and are on display for easy access. Seasonal decorations abound.

Library staff members say, “Come see the Storybook Christmas Tree featuring both classic and newer storybook ornaments.”

Additional characters gather around the tree. It is a festive sight sure to bring fond memories to all ages.

Parties for both children and teens are being planned at the library. Children are invited to visit Santa Claus, play Christmas-themed games and bingo and watch Christmas movies at the Merry Christmas Party on Saturday, Dec. 9. Children and parents may stop by the library anytime between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. on that day for free and festive fun.

Teens are invited to a murder mystery Christmas party, called “Ho Ho Homicide,” on Sunday, Dec. 10 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Participants must register in order to receive their character and role in the game. This party is free to all area teens. Food will be served.

Just Say Thanks is a community collection of wrapped treats to be given to area first responders as a way to say “Thanks” for their service. Donations to Just Say Thanks may be dropped off in the library any time before Wednesday, Dec. 20, when boxes will be packed and delivered to the Huron County Sheriff’s Department, Bad Axe City Police and the Central Huron Ambulance Service.

All community members are invited to join in the Christmas celebrations at the library.
